Today’s assignment is to watch at least the first 13 minutes or so of this video. Frankly, it does a much better job of explaining the basics than I could here.

You’re looking to take away at least these concepts at a very high level:

• What are digital signatures and why is transaction signing important?

• What are hashing functions?

• What is meant by ‘public ledger’?

Then, reply back to me and let me know the areas that could use some more clarification.
